The usual cleaning up for this company will be delayed pending instructions from the directory in Auckland; the return however promises well for the quantity milled. At present there are 20 head stampers working. The supply is short owing to the water having possession of the low level, whence the most of the stone is obtained. Nearly the whole of the men have been temporarily discharged. The manager, Mr Hicks, is now in town, with the view of arranging for the pumps to start work again.
