Sinking ihe main shaft is. down 57 feet towards the new level mark, and judging from the country the contractors will be down the required depth by end of next week. Wiuzes on No. 2 reef are down respectively 32 and 31 feet, and have carried gold more or less all the- way down. On No. 3 reet' a winze has been commenced showing the reef to be 2 feet thick, with a fair show of gold. Prospects for tbe new level are good.
