WELLINGTON.
This day. The House of Representatives occupied yesterday evening from 7.30 to 1 a.m., in discussing clauses 12, 13, and 14 of the Abolition Bill. Most of the time was taken up by Messrs Shepherd (of Nelson), Murray, and O'Connor in attempts to introduce various amendments—only one of which however was adopted.
