PARAWAI SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The Committee met last evening at the school house, Parawai. Present: Mr Allom, chairman, Mr Miller and Mr Mcßoberts. The ordinary routine business was di»posed of. '■? '-■ , M The Chairman suggested that the system of American Spelling Bees,*if adopted at Parawai, would afford an ■ amusing and intellectual series of entertainments, which might also aid in proTiding funds for various purposes connected with the school. Resolved—that a Spelling Bee be held in the Parawai School home at an earlj date, of which due notice will be giren by advertisement. The Chairman expressed his wish to resign from the Committee, being L now resident at Ohinemuri. He thought that he could not efficieutly perform the duties of a member of tbe Committee at Parawai. > At the request of the members present, Mr Allom held over his resignation for the present. :
