VANGUARD.
This property, upon which £900 has been expended in sinking shaft, driving on reef, erecting poppet-heads, whim, &c, has been sold by public auction, under distress warrant, by Mr Craig, and realised tho sum of £4D. This bargain has been purchased for the New Bird-in-Hand Company, now being organised, for the purpose of working the Bird-in-hand ground with more vigour. Advantage has been taken of the opportunity to acid this leasehold to their ai'ea, and, from the known value of the reefs in both leases, the New JBird-in-Hand Company have a future of good promise before them.
