This day. Davis, who jumped overboard from the steamer Hawca, is a photographer, whose father lives in Wellington, and he had been unsuccessful in Auckland. He was greatly depressed. He leaves a wife and five children. ;
A warrant has been issued against Constable Axam, who lately went to Sydney, on various charges of forging acceptances to bills.
The City of Melbourne from Sydney is coming up the harbor. She takes the outgoing mail to-morrow.
