THE AIREC TROUPE.

The Airec troupe continued their entertainmentslastnightto what, considering the fearful state of the weather, may be called a very fair house. We must, however, in the interests of the sight-seeing public record our emphatic protest at the shameful unpunctuality which has marked their entertainments. Though fixed nominally for eight o'clock on no one occasion has that hour been adhered to, while yesterday it was long after that time before the bell was rung even for the orchestra to commence, and after they had finished playing several pieces the spectators were kept waiting some further time before Professor Jacobs opened.the proceedings ; nor" was this all, instead of a few; minutes break between the parts, an interval of about a quarter of an hour was allowed to elapse, which, considering there was no scenery to be shifted or dresses changed, was, to say the least, unnecessary, and kept the audience waiting until eleven o'clock to see a performance which should take only about two hours. The performance itself varied slightly in detail, the chief difference being the feats of Aircc himself on the aerial ladder, which were gene through with that amouno of ease and disregard of danger which characterise all his efforts. Mr Alexander sang some character songs instead of his Irish delineations, and Professor Jacobs obtained a richly deserved encore for his ventriloquial success in the song " The Shamrock of Ireland," as sang by his two lay figures Joey and Aunty. The " Suspended Houri," however, was disappointing, the lady was suspended. for barely two minutes, and though Professor Jacobs passed his wand around and underneath her, yet he did not gratiiy the curiosity of the spectators as he had promised'on Saturday night by inviting three or four gentlemen to ascend the stage during his performance of the feat; perhaps, however, he will do this at one of the additional performances announced for Saturday next.
