CALEDONIAN.
Some attention has been paid to this stock lately, as soon as it was apparent that a considerable block, of their ground was likely to carry .the leaders now worked in-the Cure. This may cow be said to be demonstrated, as the lodes are now within 12 feet of the Caledonian boundary, and judging from the course will travel through the eastern portion of the Caledonian into the Otago a distance of about luO feet. The main lode, No. 5, and No. 4 or black lode are evidently near a junction, and probably both, these wili lie found united, or close to the dip of the. Manakau reef No. 3, within the limits of the Caledonian ground. Stoping out portion of the Sfoung American reef, driving and stoping on the intermediate level, as well as in the vicinity of No. 3 shaft, continue to supply stone sufficient to keep 5 head of stampers continually at work.
