Seducing the few specimens and picked stone obtained during the monih is now going on at the Tramway battery preparatory to theiv usual monthly cleaning x>r>, which will take place on Saturday. In the mine, the manager, Mr Dunlop, has succeeded* in striking the Cure lode No. 5. Opening the newlevel, on . same floor as the Cure, a drive was put in on the black lode, and has been worked on for some 60 feet, but at near the 43 feet a cross-cut has been entered on the foot-wall side, which has exposed the expected lode, showing at present about 1 foot thick stone of good Appearance.
