This day. : Royal Oak.— The manager's report contains nothing material. A little gold is seen in the stone occasionally from No. 2 in the upper stopes. Tokatea.—The manager reports having obtain!*! 240 lbs of specimens during the week, matting twelve hundred pounds in hand. He intends sending them to the bafciery the first opportunity. He has gqfc through tlje shot of gold at present, and espects no more specimens from this part of the mine untl another stope is in.- A little gold wes seen in the stopes in No. 1 rise on the Siege level. The leader in the Van level is making a fine body of stone.
The Emily is likely to start crushing next week. *
Warner's claim crashing yielded 290z5., or l|pzs. per ton. * The Harbour View has a small parcel of gop.d $Ijnel jne j start prushing next week. ' '•■•."
An accident happened to a miner at Eapanga to-day. A portion of his thumb was taken off by the circular saw.
