Bernard Morrow w?s charged with that ho did on or about the 20th of May unlawfully abscond from -the Industrial .School at Auckland. Mr Bullen. said the boy had been com.'mitted from this Court on the- 6th- of January, 1874. He had heard 'from the schoolmaster "that the' boy was almost incorrigible, and on leaving this time had wandered from place to place* having been to Onehunga, the Manukau Heads, sleeping under houses, and anywhere else he could, and being fed by other boys." -. His Worship questioned the defendant as to why ho, had run away, but could elicit nothing satisfactory. He ordered him to be whipped, and sent back to the Industrial School for four years. WANTING A COLUH. John E. Dodd' was ;charged that he, being the owner of a dog, did unlawfully allow the same "to be at large in Grey street, Shortland,. without a ticket for the current year being appended thereto. • Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined ss" and costs. '• The Court then adjourned.
