j The Eureka shaft, which is to be used as a pass for quartz taken from the old workings is now being repaired ; operations in other portions of the mine are proceeding in the usiir.l manner with nothing of a startling nature occurring, such for instance as a large haul of specimens. Cleaning up at the Moanatairi battery will take place on Saturday, and the return is expected to be an average one.
