Sawyer and party, tributers in the above mine hare completed their crushing of 38^ tons, and will retort to-morrow, when orer an ounce to the ton is expected to be obtained. Some delay has occurred in finishing up for this party, owing to. there being no available* berdans, but it is expected that,„retorting; will take place, -, ' ~^ • '"*"""- *" PUMPIN& Iii^IATION. The manager expects to hare erorything in readiness' tomorrow for commencing work with the 18-inch lift. All the pieces are down the shaft and in. their positions, and all that how has to be done it to make the connections complete aiad lower the set offs, or distance pieces, Tor keeping the pumps asunder. The manager has not yet received any intimation from head quarters with reference to the tenders for' contracting to sink the shaft.
