Trial Crushings, &c.

The following trial and other crushings took place at Mr C..F. Quint's Reduction Works, Willoughby stceet :—

The Black Angel Tributers crushed 271bs of stone, which yielded 6 ounces 9dwts melted gold Woodward and party, Eldorado claim, Tairua, crushed 3201bs stone swagged ; down by them on Saturday, which gave 12dwts retorted gold,, or at the rate of !4 ounces 4dwts to the ton.

A parcel of 1431bs from the All Nations claim, Ohinemuri, yielded ldwt retorted gold, or at the rate of three quarters of an ounce to the ton.

. A parcel of one ton from the Golden Point, Ohinemuri, is being put through the Tramway battery. The claim is' situated within eight men's ground of Leahy's Claim, in the WaitekaUri district. Great care is being taken to insure that the test shall be in every respect a fair one, so that the time for treating it has, been, perhaps, a little extended. Ketorting will not be performed until this evening, but a tolerably good return is expected. The stone had an excellent and promising appearance, and. was taken out ;of a large reef. Should the stuff turn out as expected, it will doubtless hare the effect of attracting more earnest attention towards the Waitekauri district-
