WELLINGTON.
Monday. In, the Court of Appeal to-day judgment was delivered in the case Borfcon v. Howe, a stated case to teat a goldmining dispute at Marawhenua between riparian proprietors and goldminers about fouling the water of a stream. Judgment was given, in favor of plaintiffs (riparian proprietors). The judgment was exceedingly long. .Mr Togel telegraphs, under the date o v April 28th, that* arrangements for the submarine cable are progressing satisfactorily, and nearly completed with- the Eastern Extension Company. He is still suffering from a severe illness. He purposes to leave England as soon as the doctors permit him to do so. j
