TIMARU.
Monday
There is la painful report; that Hunt,* the head master of the Timara school,; who was drowned, some time since with! his ■wife and mother-in-law, had another wife still living in JSTew- South Wales,; who now claims the estate for'self arid son. The police at Christchurch and Timaru have been communicated'with.; The circumstances of the drowning were mysterious, and were never satisfactorily explained. The evidence of the ferryman pointed to suicide on the part of Hunt. This was not believed ;■ at the time, but now it is thought more ;probable, in view of the subsequent revelation. / ;■.:. r ;; i Seventy applications have been received for the head mastership of the school.
