THE CURE.
The most-sanguine expectations have been eclipsed with reference to the stone ob tamed" from; -leader No. • 5 : mb; the Cure mine. The show up to 12 o'clock this morning iat the Prince Alfred battery was splendid, and the stone is expected to give not less than 3 ounces of gold to the ton. Four berdans were cleaned out this morning, and gave' 140 ounces of amalgam, making the total yield of amalgam up to the present time 340 ounces. There have been only 40 tons of stone put through for this. It ii not expected that the final result obtained from the processes of retorting and melting will be to hand before Monday.
