SPECIAL MEETING HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.

A special meeting of the Hospital Committee was held at> the Salutation Hotel this morning at eleven o'clock. Present— Messrs Hill (vice president, in the chair), Frater, Gudgeon, Mcllhone and Sims The object of the meeting was to consider what ? could be done with cases \of measles /offering, two cases having been refused for want of accommodation, the patients. being destitute. After considering the situation, and getting all the information possible, it was resolved to rent the premises formerly occupied by Mr J Leyden in Pollen street and to remove the two men Riley and Delany there; Dr Lethbridge promising to see that proper medical assistance was rendered until the next regular meeting of the Committee.
