The second day's races were most successful. The attendance was large, and the weather much better than on the previous day. There was no rain or wind, dnd it was not bo cold. The races were good^ and well contested. ; In the Hurdle Eace, there were plenty of spills. One jockey (Malone) riding the Maid of Yarrow, was so seriously injured that he was sent from .the course to the hospital. Sir Tatton. the first favorite, fell at the first hurdle. Kildare won easily; Iyanhoe, second j Maid of the Mill, third. The Jockey Club Handicap was looked upon as a certainty for Mr Delamain's Temp]eton, which was backed against the field at 2 to 1. Traitor was the second favorite. Castaway, Atlas, Barwon, Tripolis, Tadmore Golt, and Lyndon, were scratched, reducing the field to six. It was a splendid race. Templeton won easily; King '.Philip, second ; Gamecock, third. Distance, a mile and threequarters ; time, 3min 18sec. For the Rouse Stakes Elfin King was the favorite. The race was won by Somnanibula by two lengths ;-Elfin Kin*, second; Spritsail, third. Only four started. Distance, a mile and a-half; time, 2min 50sec. *

The Is Tovel Bace was won easily by Lyndon ; Kathleen, second; Boonaerang, third. Kathleen was the favorite, and started at even money. Distance, a mile and a-half; time, 2min 49sec. .
