GOLDEN CALF.

A reef was struck to-day in this mine ia the drive towards the Otago boundary. It is a body of stone three feet thick, and

a kegful of picked stone, showing gold distributed through it, was saved, leaving similar stone in the face.' The reef is 15 feet from the Otago boundary, with the underlie in the Calf's ground.
