CROWN PRINCESS.

The sinking of the shaft for a new level progresses with good speed. A depth'of 35 feet has now been reached, this for 12 days' sinking will prore the class of country through which it is being sunk. For some' dayi past a notice* able change for the better has been discernible in the No. 3 reef which if Joeing followed down in the shaft. It has now opened out to a fine body of quartz 3ft. through. Yesterday mineral showed freely through the stone, and was immediately followed by a show of gold. To day a few pounds of picked stone came to hand, which proved beyond a doubt that this reef improves going down, as on the upper workings this reef has had a pcor appearance. I saw the stone personally, which had a good show of gold in it. Some of the pieces were large, and showed gold right through.
