LICENSING COURT.
The quarterly meeting of the Licensing Commissioners was held at the Shortland. Court House to-day, at noon, for hearing and deciding upon applications for renewals, transfers, or new licenses in the districts of Thames and Hauraki. Present —Messrs John Brown, R. Kennan and Robert Workman; Mr. Brown chairman. TBANSFEBS. Transfers of the following licenses were granted without opposition ':■■ —Theatre Royal Hotel, from Henry Gillett to Albert Griffiths; Nil Desperandum, from Robert G-. Bellers to C. F. Quint; Kuranui, from Michael McMahon to Phillip L'empriere ; Court House, from Kenneth Brown to S. Pievcey ; Globe, from Mary J. Trenwith to J. H. Trenwith. NEW. LICENSE. The application of Duncan Macnab for a license for the Eoyal Hotel, Shortland, was granted conditionally that the house be furnished and completed to the satisfacliou of the Police. This w-f.s all the business before the Court.
