THEATRE ROYAL.
" Dot," a dramatisation of the work cf the greatest of modern authors, was .put on the stage last night. The house was again crowded. " Dot" was played in a manner which redounds to the credit of the company, as a whole, and to those who took prominent parts in the story particularly. Miss Stone's impersonation of Dot was very truthful, and full of humor, therefore, and feeling. Miss Clara Stephenson filled the part of blind Bertha, a character which Dickens well knew how- to pourtray, and to which Miss Stephenson. did full justice. Miss Patty Holt distinguished herself in the character of the " servant gal." An evident appreciation of humor, added to a faculty for comical " make-up,", at once worked upon the risible faculties of the audience. ' Miss Holt was a host iv herself.
