THE COMING BALL.
(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)
Sir-I think the Ball Committee deserve more consideration from the ladies than they have received in the. matter of replying to the large number of invitations issued. Ample notice of.the Ball has been given, and if inconvenience should arise from overcrowding, or preparation be made for those only who have as yet signified their intention to be present, who will be to blame ?
I believe there .are a great number of ladies intending to go to the Ball, who have the idea that the request of the Committee that they may be favoured with an answer is nothing more than an empty form. If supper be provided ior only half the number who may be present, I trust we shall not be called to account for bad management.—l am, See:,
A Member of thb Ball Committee.
