CHORAL SOCIETY'S CONCERT.
The Thames Choral Society will give a concert at the Academy of Music this evening, when will be performed Mozart's Twelfth Mass. The band and chorus will number about fifty performers, several vocalists and instrumentalists from Auckland being expected to assist in the concert. Amongst the former may be mentioned Mrs Mitchell, who has always been a deserved favorite on the Thames. The second part of the concert will consist of part songs and solos by members of the Society and Mrs Mitchell, and the selection appears to be a good one. The Society have in a very liberal spirit invited the Volunteer Representatives and the staff, over a hundred in all; and it is expected that there will be besides a large attendance of volunteers in uniform. We trust the concert will be well attended by the general public, as the efforts of the Choral Society deserve recogmition.
