Fashionable Intelligence—There was a party given in Pallas, Kansas, and this is the way a reporter of' that place goes into the toilet business:— " Miss X. wore a red bombazine dress, ruched with point alpaca,' and an overskirt of rose gingham with a border of parsley blossoms. Her tournure was particularly noticeable, from the fact that her hair was so deliciously scrambled in front. She also wore No. 9 lilac doublebutton gloves, No. 6 store shoes, slashed at the heels, and Pompadour socks." A Stbange Animal. —The following advertisement appeared lately in a Liverpool paper:—" For sale, an excellent bottler's cart-horse and harness, with an established and extensive public-house connexion attached thereto."
