Some correspondence was, read, one letter 1 "suggesting an alteration in the prizes for hurdle-racing. The stewards decided that they could not entertain the proposal. Letters-frpm-the/ owners of BeiUe^f thejlde and Potentate, regarding recent indisposition of these horseu, were referred to the handicappera.
