The manager again reports that last night some very rich gold was obtained from the rise ascending upon the 3 feet lode, a little to the north of the crosscourse. Also the foot-wall vein, striking from this main reef, continues to. give out good stone, and it is evident that when it comes to be crushed will yielJ very well. Trial parcels of stone from each of the above lodes will be completed in a few days, and it is satisfactory to record that each will be remunerative. Tbe barrenness
of the three feet reef on the south of the cross-course is too well known to be repealed, and now that good stuff is in hand on the north side, it is just probable that a good patch may be obtained, as these faults usually carry patches oF gold on the one side or the other.
