, A meeting convened by circular of the members of the above,club and gentlemen desirous of becoming members was held at the Governor Bowen jpElotel last night—Mr. Wni. McCullough was called to the Chair—the Hon. Secretary, Mr. Garrick, having laid the financial position of the club before, the meeting, it was resolved to at once open the season and the following gentlemen were appointed a Working Committee :—Messrs. Brassey McCullough, Dignan, Cook and Gorrie, with instructions to at once have the boats prepared for the season's work. Mr. Brassey was elected captain of the club for the season. It was resolved also that the subscription should be £1 payable at once for members, and 10s 6dforhon. members, the flatter haying the right of using all boats; of the club except the racing gigs. A vote of thanks to Messrs. Garrick and Brassey was passed for their present to the Club of a pair-oared skiff with butriggeJs. From the evident determination of at once proceeding to work, and the selection of a good working Committeej there" is every prospect that the coming season of the club will be as successful, if not more so than any previous year. f
