TEASDALE'S TRIBUTE.
This party are sending down another parcel of stone to the Prince Alfred Battery, for reduction. They expect, I hear, a fair return from stuff in the paddock. This party seems to be turning to gcod account a piece of ground given up as almost, if not quite, valueless—another instance of the advisability of letting ground that won't pay companies, to men willing to find labor and chance the result; the legal owners of the claims have nothing to loose, that I can see —but everything to gain.
