A young woman, name unknown, was found drowned in nine inches of water in the Sandridge lagoon.
The Municipal Conference Committee have submitted a scheme for the formation of a Metropolitan Board of Works, the representation to be based on the annual value of property.
Mr. Curtayne, manager of the Union Bank, was fined £10 and costs for disobeying an order under the Matrimonial Causes Act for the seizure of goods and chattels of one Thomas Mitchell.
