Brown' mentioned in the warrant means the same man now before the Court. When I went to arresthim he said if I would go with him he would try and get the money. I did so, and went with him to Mr Greenville, but did not get the money. I then arrested him in the Queen's name. He asked me to lst him go home and get'his coat and mare. I went with him when he got the horse, and went to. speak to Mr Greenville Greenville, asked me if I would take his guarantee.' I refused, tie accused sprang up the hill side and got away from me. I followed hini, but could not overtake him. He was afterwards arrested by Detective Brennan. ,' ' Fined £10 and costs.
