THE GOLDEN CALF.

In the stopes from the bottom level the same kind of flakey gold is being got, and in the same kind of country as it was first found in at a lesser depth in the mine. The reef in the face of the drive is about 2- feet thick, shewing gold for about 18 inches across it. The lode seems to have heaved over a good deal, but it is the manager's opinion thftfe,he is fen the right track for a good solM reef. He has had a difficult task in finding and tracing this gold lode.
