Millers’ ideas of values have still further declined, and to-day the nominal value is in the vicinity of 5s 3d, delivered at Timaru, for milling quality Tuscan. Offerings have so far this season been light, but with the threshing so far advanced it is expected that farmers will sell more readily within the next few days. Oats.—No great interest is being manifested in this market. Growers apparently prefer meantime to put everything in stack in the hope of higher values later on. B grade Gartons are worth 2s 3d to 2s 4d, on (trucks. Algerians are neglected at 2s. Choice duns are worth 2s 9d, on truoks. Barley.—Chevalier is difficult to place. Its nominal value is in the vicinity of 3s, on trucks. Cape is also slow of sale at this figure. Potatoes. —'The pota>e market remains firm, but little business is passing. The nominal quotation is £4 7s 6d per ton f.0.b., s.i., for May-June delivery. Seeds. —Cocksfoot is neglected, and with perennial, Italian and western wolths, is practically unsaleable at late quotations. Nominal values for farmers’ dressed lines are: Cocksfoot 4d to 6d per lb, perennial 2s 3d to 2s 6d. Italian and western wolths Is 6d to Is 9d per bushel. Clovers are not inquired for.
