REORGANISATION AND extension. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 3. At the instance of the Council of Research, t-lie Meteorological Department is to be reorganised, and its activities extended. Better equipment will be provided, and the number of stations supplying reports wifi be increased. . Much of the data collected will m future be used for other things than weather reports, and will 1 -be of value to hydro electric works, farmers and fruit growers.
