CHRISTCHURCH PRODUCE .MARKET. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 13. A brighter tone has developed during the past few days in several lines of produce. Seeds, however, are still neglected. Tho Waikouaiti is booked to sad for Sydney about the 19th inst. with 000 tons of potatoes. Tho filling of orders has stimulated prices, and iip to £6 on trucks has been paid. The present rain may help to restrict supplies coming to liand. It is reported that several lines have been rejected at port. Quotations for a few northern orders that have come to liand are £7 10s f.0.b., s.i. Two vessels are leaving for tiie other Island this week, but their cargoes of potatoes will be small. The pea market has advanced as a result of Home inquiry, and there have been a few sales at 6s 3d on trucks. There are not the peas about so far that were expected. There is no alteration in quotations for other lines of produce. DAIRY PRODUCE. The National Mortgage and Agency Co. report having received the following cable from their London office: — Butter quiet; 172 sto 1745. Cheese slow: white 95s to 965, coloured 96s to 975.
