MALTHUS —SCOTT*. j A very pretty wedding took Mkee on March 24 at Chalmers Clmreh. which had been boanfifully . decorated for the occasion with mauve and pink flowers, when Grace Kav Scott, daughter of Mr and Mrs David Scott, Timarn, was married by the Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes, to Reginald Alalthus, Lilybank Station, Lake Tekapo. The bride, who entered the ehurcb on the arm of her father, looked very charming in a lovely tunic frock of ivorv sois lascelles, with yoke and wide hand at hem of tunic of silver lace, and long sleeves of georgette caught in tightly at the wrist. Her beautiful hue veil was held in place with tiny posies at each side of orange b'nssom, and touches of silver. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Molly Newton, wore a sweet frock of pale pink brocaded crepe dc chine, made with an accordeon pleated nancl from the shoulders, and girdle of pink and mauve rosebuds, a bandeau of silver and mauve leaves, and she carried a bouquet of flowers to tone. The best man was Mr John'Scott, Lake Tekapo. .After the ccrcmnnv a reception was held at the Oxford Tea Rooms, which were charmingly arranged with mauve and pink flowers. 'l'he bride’s mother received her guests wearing a becoming black brocaded tunic frock over an aeeorde.on pleated georgette skirt, h’ack hat with osprey and silver ornament, and carried a bouquet of autumn tinted flowers and -foliage. Mrs Robins, black maroenin, and black hat. Mrs Seaton, cream crepe georgette, black lace hat, with orange flower at one side. Later, when Mr and .Mrs Malthus left for the north, the bride wore' a, saxe blue silk maroenin, inlet with culfeo coloured lace, small hat to match.
