Police Court this morning John Samuel Thomas Parsons (24), pleaded guilty to the the ft of various articles at Wellington, tliq property of Dulcie Ivey, and also with obtaining from AVilfred Bugrie, of Levin, £3O by lalsely representing to lie paid lor a. thiiY share in a side show. On the minor charges he was ordered to tome up for sentence if called on within 32 months, and for false pretences was ordered to be detained foils months’ reformative treatment. MOTORIST FINED. By Tclecraph—Press Association. PALMERSTON N., April 12. Gerry Garnbitsis, fishmonger, pleaded guilty at the Court this morning that being the driver of a motor car, he failed to stop when an accident o-cur->recl, and also to driving a car without a license. The Police-stated that accused, driving a car in .Cook Street yesterday afternoon, knocked down a girl of four years, who sustained a broken leg. Alter tbo accident accused slowed the car down and looked round, tut went on. A taxi driver who witnessed the occurrence went after the defendant and compelled him to retfirn. He was fined £3 for not stopping, and £2 for driving without a license. MUTILATED SHEEPSKINS. By Tale^raph—l'rcss Auaociar.on GRYMOUTH, April 12. Richard Ronehi, butcher, Blackwater, was convicted of being in poscssior. of sheepskins and hides from which the ears had been removed. Ho was fined £2O, with costs. The Magistrate (Mr AA r . Meld rum) said tho breach was deliberate, and had been going on for tho past three and a half years. Thomas Barren, for a similar offence, was fined £2, with costs, a. pica of ignorance being accepted.
