LONDON, April 10. “I'm not a nigger, so 1 cannot write jazz," declared Dr. Strauss, who arrived from Vienna to conduct tho orchestra for .screen presentation of the opera “Rosen Kavalier.” “Whether jazz is better than other music, 1 will not. sav,” added Dr. Stransit. “Jazz is beyond my understanding. There will be no saxophone in my orchestra if 1 know it.” Dr. Strauss claimed tho right to change liis previous opinion that barrel organ music was good enough tor films. He now holds that there will be a big future welding of . good music and films.
