The annual meeting of the Orari Miniature Rifle Club was held in the Coronation Hall on Tuesday evening. There was a large attendance. Mr T. Rates (hon. secretary) presented the annual report and balance sheet. The credit balance for the year was shown as £l7 lbs Cd, which was considered very satisfactory. The report stated that the club had had a very successful year. At the end of the season the ladies’ and men’s clubs held a most enjoyable ball, at which the trophies and medals were presented to the winners. Thanks were due to the donors of prizes, and to all those who had assisted the club during the season. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr T. 1). Burnett, M.P.; president, Mr J. Kennedy; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Biggins, A. T. Langford, J. L. Bennett, W. .T. Moore, E. P. Chambers, W. Payne, Captain Gresham, A. Stewart, J. Anderson, G. G. Combs, W. Quirko. sew., H. Killoh, J. 'Henderson and IV. Henderson; captain, Mr A. IV. Murphy; vice-captain, Mr Markham; hon. secretary, .Mr T. Bates (reelected) ; committee, Messrs A. Earl, W 11 Cook, J. Weir, AV. G. Smith, )l' j. Smith, 0. Quirke, G. Bray and J A. Henderson; rifle caretaker, Mr Murphy; target testers, Messrs T. Rates and A. Murphy; handienpper, Mr T. Bates. Air F. Burns was elected an honorary member. The opening audit was fixed for April 12.
