Speculation still is busy regarding the appointments which Air Coates yet has to make in the way of Cabinet readjustments. For tlie present there are no vacancies, but Sir James Parr will be relinquishing Jiis portfolios shortly. His resignation will, of course, entail reallocation of portfolios. In accordance with his announcement made in January the Prime Alinister is to divest ‘himself of Public Works, and Finance is to go from Air Nosworthy to Mr Downie Stewart. Air Nosworthy probably will hand over the Finance portfolio to Air Stewart in the course oi : a lew days, aftor he has announced the results of the financial year ended March 31. The name of Air K. S. Williams has been mentioned in connection with Cabinet reconstruction, and Air Williams at present is in Wellington.
