Miss Clayton, of Thompson’s Archaeological expedition to Northern Fayum, -discovered, at Chindi, a depression a few miJes from the modern cultivated zone, 20” buried baskets, made of wheat stalks, containing wheat, blackened with ago, and a wooden sickle, with three flints, proving to belong to the Libyan flint age, 6000 years before Christ, and 2000 years earlier than the previous discoveries.
