In the professional boxing contest, George Staee (Australia) 10.4, defeated Eugene Volairc 10.4, on points, in a fifteen-rounds contest. The winner showed an effective, snappy left throughout, and also proved his ability ip in.-fighting against a man who is an adept therein. The contest was clean and always interesting, but the loser, was-at a.disadvantage iii reach and was tired at the finish. In an amnicur bout of six rounds, Cotter (Runauga) beat Thompson, after a good exhibition, wherein the hardest hitter prevailed. WEEK-END BOUTS IN AUSTRALIA. Australian and N.Z. Coble Association. At the Stadium, Tiger Payne defeated Urn Waddy for the' heavyweight championship of Australia, one minute after the commencement of the first round. Waddy, who is forty years of age, was luialde to withstand the rush of a much younger opponent, and after being severely punished was knocked out. MELBOURNE, April 3. At the Stadium, Jonny Taylor knocked out George Waters in the tenth dound. Waters was outclassed from the commencement.
