GOVERNOR - GENERAL.
VISIT TO RANGITIKEI. MARTON, March 31. The Governor-General and Lady Fergnsson visited Flock House, and later w< lit to Bulls and Marton yesterday. They were accorded a warm reception throughout the tour. The Governor eulogised the work of Hie administrators of the Flock House Fund, and said the scheme was the iinest practical example of patriotism.
Their Excellencies at Bulls were welcomed by the Town Board. Sir Charles Fergusson addressed a largo gathering of school children. Rain militated against a prolonged outdoor ceremony at Marton, hut a rousing welcome wa.s not dampened. Ex-serviccmen, Scouts and children wore addressed. Later the Huntley Private School and the Nga Taw a Diocesan School wore inspected. The Borough presented an illuminated address, and entertained the visitors at afternoon tea. The party left later for the north.
