CALEDONIAN SOCIETY. . At a mooting of tho directors of tlm Pleasant Point Caledonian Society, tho following wore present:—Messrs E. Nelligan (president), Evans, Blissctt, Tennant, .Dossett, King, Simmons, Bowman and McCarthy. Apologies tv ere received from Messrs J. Stewart and A. Blown. Before proceeding with tlio business, the president (Mr F. Nelligan) referred to the loss to the Society by the death of . The late Air Andrew Miller, who was a vice-president, and one of the .Society’s best .supporters. Air Nelligan 'moved ; .a vote of sincere sympathy with tlio relatives of the deceased, which was carried unanimously, all present btamling.' . Thu secretory presented a. provisional balance sheet in connection with the, recent sports meeting, which showed a credit of £2O. This was considered very satisfactory. The president- congratulated Tlio;directors on. the .success of the meeting, and in moving a. hearty vote ot thanks to all who-had assisted, made- special mention of. the success of Ajiss Double, in charge.-of tlio .soft drinks -stall,, which showed the splendid profit oh £l2 7s Bd. , „ Votes of thanks wore also accorjEs. to Ai rs A: F. -Bovs, Ai r;C.
