Beneficial rainfalls continue in most parts of the State. Heavy seas are running. Both the Maunganui and Manama received severe buffeting on their last voyages from New Zealand. FOUR YEARS’ DROUGHT. Torrential rain, accompanied by heavy gales, has fallen through the State. Flood warnings have been issued. Similar heavy falls are reported in Queensland, while advices from Adelaide record terrific falls and huge areas of country under water. The railway services are disorganised, and it will be a fortnight before trains are able to reach Oodnadatta. The drought, which in some eases’ lasted four . years, has definitely banished. Even Alice Springs district is being inundated.
