ALLEGED “INDECENT DOCUMENTS.” By Telegraph —Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 22 James George Hannifin,, chemist, was charged this morning with having sent an indecent document through the post. Ho pleaded not guilty. The Magistrate reserved lus deCl The Crown said certain documents were offensive to women of good taste. For the defence it was contended that the documents dealt with conIracoptives, etc., and were, only sent to those who made application. FALSE PRETENCES. By Taleffraph —Press Association. GISBORNE, March 22. John Roderick Skipper (23) pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to u charge of false pretences, in having obtained at Taneatua a motor car by means of a valueless cheque. Ho was committed for sentence nt Auckland.
