The police at Maryborough have received word of a tragedy which occurred at, the surgery of S. R. Turner, a well-known detist. On arrival the police were compelled to force the door. They found Turner attempting to commit suicide with a revolver. The police prevented him; and then discovered, the body of Mrs Loveday. .‘VI yeans of age, on a couch. Turner was arrested and charged with murder. 'Pile police theory is that Loveday was first chloroformed, and then given cyanide of potassium.
