DEMANDS OF ENGINEERING UNIONS.

LONDON, May 17
The National Executives of the Engineering aiid Trade Unions will confer on Wednesday to consider the employers’ proposals. It is understood that all the Unions, representing 51)0,000 workers, instructed their representatives to decline the oil'er, and refuse any compromise on hours and conditions, and at the same time to press for the Unions’ original demands.
