NOTES. The John is expected to arrive direct from New Plymouth to-night, to load Wellington, \vanganui anti New Plymouth cargo. She should 1 sail direct for Wellington later. The Union Co. advise that they expect, tho Kamo to arrive to-day, from Oamaru. to load Wellington, Napier and Gisborne cargo. . The S.S. and A. Coy’s liner Athenic is hbw duo to arrive on Sunday from Bluff, to load frozen meat and general cargo for Home ports. The Waikouaiti is also expected to arrive on Sunday to discharge Sydney cargo, and load return cargo for Sydtt&y,*'-. Tuesday should see the arrival of the Poolta. from. Port Stephens, with a cargo of Australian timber and' coai for discharge. The’ Canadian Traveller is now duo on Thursday .from; Lyttelton, to discharge Canadian cargo, and to load return cargo for U.S.A. The Calm should also arrive on Tuesday on her usual northern run, to pick up'Wellington and Wanganui cargo. The Union Co. advise that they expect;, the Katoa on Wednesday from Oamaru, to load for .Wellington and Auckland.

The New Zealand Shipping Coy’s steamer Orari, is" set down to arrive on Thursday from Bluff, to load for Home ports. From here she will proceed to Lyttelton for continuation of loading operations
